Training

Training in Renewable Energy Sources (RES) is an integral part of the SUNFLOWER project. It provided professional training to graduates and others in the application of RES particularly to further the start up or roll-out of new companies. The training helped boost their ability to move on national and international markets and stimulate the constitution of new companies. The target groups were professionals, young entrepreneurs and post-graduate students. 

Included in the training was; knowledge of renewable energy markets, RES technologies, knowhow in the methodology to create a start-up within RES fields, sources of financial support, personalized advice and interactions between young entrepreneurs and experts.  The training is supported by the following downloadable Guides

This Guide addresses one of the main barriers to the successful development of the
renewable energy industry across Europe; the availability of trained and skilled people. The Guide details how to start a renewable energy business at a European level from initial idea to the developed project. There are sections dealing with trading, fi nancial and legal aspects and several case studies of best practice. Job profiles and market trends are also analysed

An overview of the energy market with detailed information on biomass technologies, small hydropower, wind, solar (thermal and pv) and support schemes including the Feed in Tariff. The Guide also contains an economic analysis of renewable energy sources and a large section on the potential of hydrogen as a fuel.
